Expectations

Hi sis! I pray you're doing well this week! I'm traveling to Woman Thou Art Loose conference and I am in great expectation of what's going to take place this weekend! Wouldn't it be great if we looked at every situation with great expectation? Even if it looks like it's not so great?

How we view our situation can hold weight to our outcome. So many times, and I admit I've been guilty of this, we overthink and think of hundreds of Scenarios of what could go wrong and instead of us thinking of great or positive expectations we tend to think or weigh out the worst.

Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that worketh in us”

I've learned through experience and even convinced myself that if I have no expectation then I won't be let down. But isnt that operating in fear? Ouch! Even I sometimes have to check my thinking and not allow things to creep in to protect my feelings.

Now I go into something with great expectations that God will be done! And if it doesn't work out the way I wanted I still believe it worked in my favor! Even what didn't work still worked for me! My expectation is for my life to be lived on purpose and whatever that brings I expect nothing less than God's best for me! Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that worketh in us”

I no longer allow my expectations to dictate or control how I move. I expect the best but I'm prepared for his will! Just like I went into the conference not knowing what was going to happen, what sermons were going to be preached, but I expected a pouring and went in with my cup out. And whatever God filled it with was what I needed!

Sis, expect nothing less than God's best for you! What didn't work still worked for your good! You got this!

Love you on purpose!
